KnowledgeSync Business Alerts
KnowledgeSync is a true company-wide business activity monitoring solution that addresses all of an organizations knowledge management needs.
KnowledgeSync's purpose is to automatically monitor business information for critical time-sensitive conditions of data across an organization and to respond to those conditions in a timely and intelligent manner.
KnowledgeSync is licensed per connection. One connection is defined as:
- Monitoring one application database, or
- Monitoring incoming email, or
- Monitoring the operating system
Note:
The ability to send alert messages via email, tax, pager, PDA/cellular phone, webcast, FTP and screen pop is included in all license types.
Use of the Email Response System (to monitor incoming email messages) requires an additional connection license.
The ability to monitor the Operating System and/or the ability to use the Front-End VB Scripting module requires an additional connection license.
Use of the Back-End VB Scripting module (to execute VB scripts as the result of a triggered event) is included in all license types.
A Server Name Change is when a client needs to change the name of the server on which KnowledgeSync is installed and this requires a new license code.
Modular pricing is designed only for users who do not want (or need) the Crystal Reports integration or the ability to configure an event to execute any of the actions located in the Actions tab of an event.
Alerts Only--This license type does not include Crystal Reports, nor does it include the ability to trigger any Actions (such as VB Scripts) from the Actions tab of an event.
Alerts Plus Report--This license type does include Crystal Reports, but does not include the ability to trigger any Actions (such as VB Scripts) from the Actions tab of an event.
Alerts Plus Actions--This license type does not include Crystal Reports, but does include the ability to trigger any Actions (such as VB Scripts) from the Actions tab of an event.
